Information you provide.
We ask you to provide personal details such as your name, address, email address, a secure yet memorable password,
mobile phone number if applicable and other information such as your vehicle registration number or vehicle identity number,
known as the VIN.
How we hold your information.
Any information you provide will be securely held by CITROËN UK Ltd. in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Any passwords are securely stored in a 256 bit ‘hash’ format so even we can’t read them. Accounts with forgotten
passwords are reset with a temporary password ready for you to choose a secure yet memorable password for future occasions.
Passing on your information.
Your information may be passed to any CITROËN UK Authorised Dealer, or CITROËN UK, who may need to connect you
regarding the services offered by this website. If you have subscribed to the premium service and registered your mobile
phone number then we’ll need to send the mobile phone number to an SMS gateway so that you can receive a text message.
We use third party data logging and statistical tracking tools such as ‘Google Analytics’ that show us how many people
found this website, how they use it and how we might improve it for you. These tools also show technical information such
as what type of web browsers are being used. Data collected by Google is anonymous. It focuses on how ‘people’ use the website,
rather than you as an individual user.
How we communicate with you.
You can choose, as a user to either visit this website on a regular basis to check your vehicle(s) status by
using the ‘One Off Search’ facility, or you can subscribe free of charge. Once your account is validated we will monitor
any CITROËN vehicle(s) that you’ve registered and alert by email or optionally SMS** you if we need to inspect your vehicle
in any way as part of a safety recall or quality campaign.
**SMS messaging requires a Premium account. Premium accounts are chargeable on an annual basis and have additional
features such as allowing for a greater number of vehicles to be monitored and SMS messaging.
You can view the differences here. We do not charge to send SMS messages to you. Receiving SMS messages
within the European Union (EU) is free of charge. Charges may apply when visiting countries outside of the EU. You can
choose to suspend SMS delivery if any such delivery charges apply.

Access to the system is restricted to authorised personal only. Third party companies may require access or exposure
to the system from time to time. These include the hosting company providing the servers for the website and authorised
