www.citroenrecalls.co.uk Terms and Conditions

The online services and information provided by this website relating to safety recalls based on vehicles manufactured by Citroën UK is for information purposes only. It is a complementary service to the existing Citroën UK recall process. It allows validated customers to receive electronic alerts by email regarding any safety recalls relating to vehicles that customers register. A customer becomes validated when they have subscribed to the standard service free of charge and validated their email account. Any work carried out in relation to recalls is provided free of charge by Citroën authorised repairers located throughout the UK.

We take care in preparing and collecting safety recall vehicle information. Recall information is published to this website on a regular basis and the time and date of the last update is displayed within the search results for your convenience. We endeavour to provide up to date, accurate, verified and complete information, but Citroën UK shall not be liable (whether in negligence or otherwise) for the accuracy or completeness of such information, nor shall Citroën UK be obligated to advise any person of any error in information provided. Citroën UK shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits or business) which may arise from any use of, or reliance upon, or inability to access, the information.

Information provided by customers during the subscription process allows us to automatically check for any changes to vehicle statuses on a regular basis and suggest local authorised repairers that can carry out any recall or campaign work necessary. It is the sole responsibility of the owner to ensure that they have informed the DVLA and the Citroën UK customer services department in writing of any postal address changes so that customers can be officially notified of any inspection requirements by letter. If you no longer own the vehicle or it has been written off or stolen but still receive recall information by post from us then please use the pre-paid card that is attached to the letter in order to notify us of a change in ownership. We request that you contact your Citroën UK authorised repairer as soon as possible to arrange for any necessary recall or campaign work to be carried out. When making the appointment, please quote the three character recall reference that is indicated against your vehicle on the site.

Citroën UK authorised repairers will always hold the latest recall information if you wish to check any additional details with them.

In the UK, vehicle recalls are operated under the code of practice agreed between the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), an agency of the Department for Transport and the vehicle manufacturers. Information relating to this code of practice can be found on the DVSA website: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/code-of-practice-on-vehicle-safety-defects-and-recalls.

This website is made available for customers that own Citroën vehicles registered in the UK. Customers can either use our one off lookup facility or subscribe so that we may monitor registered vehicles for you. Any other unauthorised use, such as using automated scripts, spamming, uploading files containing viruses, making more lookup requests to this service in a given period of time that a human could achieve unaided other than using a conventional online web browser, is prohibited.

All subscriptions last for a defined period of time before they expire. We will send an email notification near to the end of your subscription period and also display a renewal link online. You can either renew your subscription or allow it to expire which will cause your account to terminate. You can also terminate your account at any point from the ‘My Account’ page within the website.

Terminated accounts forfeit any services provided by their subscription type along with any remaining subscription days with immediate affect. Citroën UK reserves the right to terminate accounts or prevent access to the website / services without notice.

The normal terms and conditions also apply.
